Another SLIPKNOT Show Cancelled

August 24, 2009

According to the Tri-City Herald, last night's (Sunday, August 23) SLIPKNOT concert at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, Washington has been postponed because one of the band members is ill, said Rick Capello, ticket office manager.

All tickets that have been purchased will be honored, he said, and a new show time should be announced in the coming week.

Setup already was underway when Capello found out about the cancellation, he said, adding there was a "good crowd" that had bought tickets.

Saturday's show in Seattle — as part of radio station KISW 99.9 FM's Pain in the Grass 2009 event — was also cancelled, according to the group's web site, which says band member Joey Jordison was taken to the hospital for health reasons.

Video footage of SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor announcing the cancellation of the Seattle concert from the stage can be viewed below.
